Meet Thelma! A kind, gentle soul who found herself at the shelter after being bred her entire life and then discarded of when she was too old to produce any more babies for the profits of her owners. Her body tells a story of extreme overbreeding, including a growth on one of her mammary glands that our vet deemed benign and diagnosed as hyperplasia, an excess of tissue due to repeated breeding cycles. This lump is a result of her cruel past, and we know that her furever family will look beyond this cosmetic defect and see her for the beautiful soul she truly is. Thelma is extraordinarily kind, patient, loving and an overall joy to be around. She has been quiet as a mouse and the best house guest her foster Mom could ask for. Thelma integrated into her foster home wonderfully with both male and female pitties. She wags her tail at her foster siblings, sniffs, and then keeps to herself. She is crate trained, up to date on shots, spayed and will be microchipped upon adoption. Thelma would be a perfect dog for a beginner or a family with little to no dog experience. She is easy peasy and has so much love to give. Adopt Thelma!
